INTRODUCTION:
Energy conservation practices have acquired top priority, in the present context of acute power shortage and liberalization of economy. Industry needs to be aware of the latest trends in reducing energy costs, so as to be globally competitive. Some of the states like Gujarat, Punjab, Tamilnadu and Kerala have already made Energy Audit mandatory for all industrial establishments where maximum load exceeds 200 KVA.
To create and spread awareness on energy conservation in Indian Industry, the Energy Management Cell of CII has been organizing seminars and training programmes on Energy Conservation and audit at various industrial centers.
Against this backdrop, CII is organizing a one day advanced training program on Energy Management on 3 December 2009 at Hotel Express Residency, Alkapuri Society, Vadodara.
OBJECTIVE:
• To develop knowledge on techniques for effective energy management, which will result in reducing both thermal and electrical energy consumption.
• To highlight benefits of carrying out detailed energy audits
• To create in house skills on Energy Management tools like pumps, boilers compressors etc.
• To provide an opportunity for industry to reduce their costs and improve competitiveness.
• To sustain energy efficient culture at the work place.

FACULTY:
Mr Dipesh Shah is the Head of Energy Management Cell of CII – WR. He has 15 years of hands on experience in the field of Energy Management & Conservation, Project Management, Detailed Engineering & Project Implementation, Engineering Maintenance, Process & Yield Monitoring. He has been involved in both national & international projects on energy conservation, management. He has trained more than 250 companies in efficient energy management and also has been involved in policy work with state Government. He is also a certified Energy Auditor of Bureau of Energy Efficiency – Govt of India.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
Top-level managers, Maintenance Engineers, Operation/Production Managers, Energy Consultants, Energy Auditors, Energy Managers, Supervisors etc. from all range of manufacturing and process industries.

• Non Members: Rs 4000/- (inclusive of service tax)
The delegate fee should be in the form of a DD/Cheque in favour of “Confederation of Indian Industry” payable at Vadodara. Also note that the workshop is designed for a maximum of 35 delegates, so that there can be greater one to one discussion. The registration is on first-come-first-serve basis.
